Arne's Warriors is still the reigning champion of donations since our beginnings back in 2011. With over $130,000 dollars raised in 7 years we are still as passionate and vibrant as ever. This year I hope to raise the bar higher and am seeking 10,000 in donations to add to our pool of progress on behalf and memory of Arne, and the ALS Association. The fight is over for him, but not for others! Let's continue to fight!
By carrying on Arne's legacy, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Arne spent the last years of his life working tirelessly in his fundraising efforts to support other people living with ALS and families in our ALS community, He did everything he could to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please join Arne's Warriors, the #1 fundraising team in our chapter's history, by signing up for the Walk to Defeat ALS and donating to the fight.
Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. Arne was diagnosed in October 2010 and despite an extremely aggressive form of the illness, he fought all the way through November 2012 when he went with God.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. It struck down Arne Gray. Currently, there is no known cause or treatment for the disease and it costs families an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference by joining Arne's Warriors and donating today!
