Matching Gifts

Matching GiftsParticipating in a matching gift program is a great way to maximize the impact of your donation to a charitable organization.

What is a matching gift?
Many companies will match the charitable gift made to a non-profit organization by an employee, often dollar for dollar, thereby doubling the amount of money the organization will receive.

What steps should I take?

  1. Check with your human resources or payroll department to see if your company sponsors a matching gift program.

  2. Make a gift online or by mail.

  3. Fill out the donor portion of the matching gift form you can obtain from your company. Make sure you choose our chapter by using our EIN: 68-0516066 and our legal name as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association Oregon and SW Washington Chapter in Portland, Oregon.

  4. Mail the form to:
The ALS Association Oregon and SW Washington Chapter
    Attention: Ride to Defeat ALS
700 NE Multnomah St, Suite 210
    Portland, OR 97232

You may also email the form to ride@alsa-or.org or fax it to 503.296.5590.

  5. The ALS Association Oregon and SW Washington Chapter will take care of the rest!

Please contact Maggie Pimm, Office Coordinator and Bookkeeper at MaggiePimm@alsa-or.org or 503.238.5559 ext 103 with any questions regarding this process.
