Event Information

The Ski to Defeat ALS offers something for everyone as it’s a family friendly event that brings hope to the fight against ALS. People living with ALS, family members, friends, skiers, snowboarders and snow-shoers come together to raise significant funds to support comprehensive local care services as well as effective national public policy and top-notch international cutting-edge research. 

Please note: Anyone who is enjoying the amenities of the event must register. We have guest options for those who will not be skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing. Guests need to contact us directly over the phone to get registered. Anyone who will be skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing that day and wants to participate in our event will need to register and meet the fundraising minimum, if 11 years of age and older. Contact us directly if you have additional questions.

Your Registration Fee covers:

  • Lift ticket (if needed), an all-day pass to Mt. Hood Meadows, and exclusive entry into our private event space.
  • Participation in our contests and opportunity to take home trophies and prizes.
  • All your meals, non-alcoholic beverages, two drink tickets exchangeable for alcoholic beverages (21 and over), entertainment, an awards celebration and much more!
  • Snowshoe participants: Your poles & snowshoes are included.

Registration Schedule:

Between January 15th and March 2nd registration rates are as follows:

  • Lift Ticket Registration $75 ($125 value)
  • Season Ticket Registration $25 ($45 value)
  • Snowshoe Registration $45 ($75 value)

Day of registration is based on availability and will be the following:

  • Lift Ticket Registration $90 ($125 value)
  • Season Ticket Registration $30 ($45 value)
  • Snowshoe Registration $50 ($75 value)

Kids 6 and Under get Discounted Registration in partnership with Meadows

For kids 6 and under who want to register with the LIFT TICKET registration option, please use discount code: KIDSUNDER6. This makes their registration fee only $20 which inlcudes their lift ticket, food and beverage. For kids 6 and under that want to register with the SEASON PASS registration option, please use discount code: SEASONSIX. This makes their registration fee only $10 which includes participation in the event festivities, food and beverage.

Every registered participant 11 years and older is required to meet a $150 fundraising minimum by the day of the event.

Discount Lodging Partnership

Resort at the Mountain

Thanks to our friends at The Resort at the Mountain, you can take advantage of discounted room rates. Reservations at the group rate for ALS are available until February 17, 2018. To take advantage of this opportunity, call 503-622-2250 and ask for the Ski to Defeat ALS discounted rate. Rates are $99 plus a $20 resort fee. There's discounted rates for Fireside Studio's also at $159/night. Contact Catherine Craig at the resort directly with any questions, concerns and requests. 

Driving Directions to Mt. Hood Meadows

From Portland
Take Hwy 26 East to Government Camp.
Then North on Hwy 35 - 10 miles to Meadows.

If you prefer an easier, less congested drive... 
Take I -84 to Exit 64 in Hood River.
Follow Hwy 35, 35 miles to the Mt. Hood Meadows entrance.
