The ALS Association leads the way in global research, provides hands-on, critical assistance for people living with ALS and their families, coordinates multidisciplinary care through local clinics and centers, and fosters government partnerships. Proceeds from this event will expand our reach, strengthen our supports for local people living with ALS and their families, and get us closer to available treatments.

The ALS Association Oregon and SW Washington Chapter exists to provide critical programs and care services, free of charge, such as, but not limited to in Southern Oregon:

  • An on-staff Care Services Coordinator who offers individual support and home visits to assess the needs of those living with ALS, suggest equipment and help them plan.
  • A partnership with Asante in two ALS multidisciplinary clinics – Medford and Grants Pass.
  • A Medical Equipment Loan Program in partnership with Numotion that shares equipment to aid in daily living activities and with mobility when insurance and other programs cannot fund needed items.
  • An Augmentative Communication and Assistive Technology Program to support people living with ALS in their communication and technology needs.
  • Beverage Sponsor
  • Monthly Support Group Program to facilitate peer to peer support and sharing of best practices for living with this disease.
  • Support and resources for children, who have someone living with ALS in their families.
  • Bereavement support for family members and friends who have lost a loved one to ALS.
