2021 Hike to Defeat ALS - ORSWW

The Hike to Defeat ALS is upon us! We are so excited to hike to defeat ALS with you this Saturday at Silver Falls State Park.

Registration: Please email us at hike@alsoregon.org if you would like to register for the event! The event is filling up fast, and space is limited!

13.1 Mile Hike: 9 a.m. start time
7.2 Mile Hike: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. start time
2.8 Mile Family Hike: 10:30 a.m. start time
A light breakfast will be served from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
Day of Guest Registration Opens: 11:30 a.m.

Food Service: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Parking
Please park in the South Falls Day Use lot. We will be located at the Creekside Picnic Shelter to the left of the entrance.
Be Prepared
Rain has officially arrived in the PNW! Here are a few things you may consider bringing:
-Weather-resistant jacket
-Sturdy shoes/Hiking shoes
-Fully charged cell phone
-Sunglasses
-Face mask for start line, registration, rest stop, restrooms, and dining area
Safety First

Remember to follow the trails and do not wander off. Keep your cell phone handy in case of any emergencies.

Registration
You must check in at the Registration table, even if you are pre-registered.

Remember, the $150 minimum for everyone ages 11 & up MUST BE MET by Saturday! If not, you will be responsible for making up the difference before you’re issued your Hike to Defeat ALS bib. If you have any additional donations to turn in, you may do so Saturday at the Registration table.

Hike to Defeat ALS Covid-19 Precautions:

In alignment with the State of Oregon and in order to keep event participants, people with ALS, and our staff and volunteers safe and healthy, masks will be required at the start/finish line, registration area, rest stop, restrooms, and in the dining area regardless of vaccination status. Please refer to the State of Oregon recommendations for precautions that should be taken while on the trails. With the mask requirement at the rest stop, you will need to carry a mask with you if you plan to stop. Increased hand washing and sanitation will be available. All lunches, beverages and snacks will be individually packaged/boxed for your health and safety. Thank you in advance for your attention to this policy!
